This project is my own free time project. I want to make a solution that can switch things on and off wirelessly with a relay. I am aware that there are products on the market that do the same thing. But I’d like to make a solution that is energy efficient, cheap to make and not visible.
This solution is intended to be used with shutters that have an electrical motor built in. I want to be able to shut the shutters or raise them with an app. All without any wires outside the box where the motor is.
I will be using a rasberry pi and arduino nano’s. The raspberry pi will be the central controlling unit with a rf transmitter. Each window shutter will have an arduino nano connected to it with a rf receiver. Raspberry pi will receive a message from my app and with this it wil send a message to the correct arduino nano which will activate a relay connected to it.
